Skiing in Erciyes

Skiing down a volcano may sound like the plot of an action film, but it is certainly possible at the Erciyes Ski Centre in central Turkey.
Mount Erciyes is a snowy stratovolcano towering 3917m high in Kayseri, in the centre of Turkey and home to Turkey's largest ski resort.  If you are planning to travel this winter and are looking for a different ski resort, Erciyes, with its long slopes, will be an easy-to-reach and budget-friendly option for you.
The start and end of the season naturally depends on the weather conditions of the year, but it roughly starts in November and continues until the end of March. January and February are the snowiest months and you can expect a snow height of around 2 metres at the peak of the season
